Forewings: The forewing has an oval white coloured spot just above the cell-end and the black coloured marginal border is broad (Yata and Morishita, 1979).

Female

Subspecies and variation

No subspecies (Yata and Morishita, 1979).

Similar species

The underside wing surface of this species is similar to Appias phoebe, but the markings are more developed (Yata and Morishita, 1979).
