External characteristics


Male 
Forewing length (mm): 22 (Joicey and Talbot, 1916).
Forewings: The forewing upper side has reduced black colouration on the costa and base. The black marginal border is regularly incurved and only slightly waves. The forewing underside has lemon-yellow colouration at the base of the cell. There is a well-marked subapical black band, which terminated below vein Cu2 (Joicey and Talbot, 1916). Hindwings The hindwing is lemon-yellow at the base of the cell. The ground-colour is chalky white on both sides (Joicey and Talbot, 1916).
