The forewing termen is rounder than in males (Yata and Morishita, 1979).

Subspecies and variation

Five subspecies are described. Each subspecies inhabits separate mountain areas, and they do not overlap (Pequin, 2021). No subspecies (Yata and Morishita, 1979).

Similar species

This species is similar to Delias georgina, but can be distinguished by its characteristic dusky yellow scales on the hindwing underside (Yata and Morishita, 1979).
