External characteristics
Forewing length (mm): 16-26.
General morphology:
Antennae nearly half of length of forewing, apiculus constricted at commencement, right-angled, nudum 14-16 segments, of which half on the club. Forewing triangular, costa almost straight, termen slightly curved, hind margin longer than termen. Hindwing termen almost straight, inner margin longer than costa, tornus slightly produced.
Wing coloration:
Upper side: Upper side forewing dark brown with a few white hyaline discal spots discal spots, no cell spots or one or two tiny ones. Upper side hindwing dark brown, unmarked.
Underside: Underside forewing as upper side, below vein CuA2 with an unsharp whitish spot above the middle of vein 1A+2A. Underside hindwing as upper side, plain dark brown or with a white band from costa to just above the tornus,
