External characteristics
Forewing length (mm): 12-18.
General morphology:
Antennae club bent at or shortly after its commencement to form a finely pointed apiculus, nudum 18-20 segments. Palpi porrect. Forewing triangular with gently curved termen, hind margin longer than termen. Hindwing prolonged, inner margin longer than front margin.
Wing coloration:
Upper side: Upper side forewing brown overlaid with yellowish scales, small hyaline spots in cell, spaces cua1 and cua2 and near apex. Upper side hindwing brown overlaid with yellowish scales. Indistinct semi-hyaline spots.
Underside: Underside forewing and hindwing about as upper side.
Secondary sexual characters:
Male with linear stigma on upper side of forewing.
Species
Four species, mainly Australian but one species extends into New Guinea.
