MORPHOLOGY

External characteristics

Forewing length (mm): 16.

General morphology:
Antennae club angled, bent more or less in middle to form the apiculus; nudum 23 segments of which 14 on apiculus. Palpi erect. Forewing broad with weakly curved termen, hind margin longer than termen. Hindwing evenly rounded, inner margin about as long as costa.

Wing coloration:

Upper side: Upper side forewing brown with small whitish hyaline spots. Upper side hindwing brown, cilia white. 

Underside: Underside forewing as upper side, whitish area near inner margin in outer half. Underside hindwing as upper side but with vague paler markings, in male of one species large white spot below cell.

Secondary sexual characters:

 
Male with discal stigma on upper side of forewing.
