MORPHOLOGY

External characteristics

Forewing length (mm): 16-18.

General morphology:
Antennae longer than half of length of forewing, apiculus obtuse to moderately hooked, nudum 13-15 segments. Forewing relatively broad, termen evenly curved but almost straight in male, hind margin longer than termen. Hindwing termen well-rounded, inner margin shorter than costa.

Wing coloration:

Upper side: Upper side forewing in female black with broad orange band, in male largely orange surrounded by black. Upper side in female hindwing unmarked black, in male black, but orange at base

Underside: Underside of all wings in male as upper side; in female as upper side, bit hindwing with small blue dots.

Secondary sexual characters:

 
No secondary sexual characters.

One species, extending from Myanmar to Borneo and Java.
