MORPHOLOGY

External characteristics

Forewing length (mm): 16-19.

General morphology:
Antennae longer than half of length of forewing, apiculus obtuse to moderately hooked, nudum 14 segments. Forewing elongate to broad triangular broad, termen weakly curved, hind margin as long as termen. Hindwing termen well-rounded, a bit protruding at tornus, inner margin slightly longer than costa.

Wing coloration:

Upper side: Upper side forewing black with white hyaline spots, including to more or less conjoined spots in cell, yellow streak over vein 1A+2A in basal half. Upper side hindwing unmarked black or with a central orange patch in male and a larger yellow area in female; cilia orange. 

Underside: Underside forewing as on upper side, but dusted reddish brown in apical half or quarter. Underside hindwing unmarked black or dusted with reddish or orangish brown scales leaving a yellower patch in the middle.

Secondary sexual characters:
