MORPHOLOGY

External characteristics

Forewing length (mm): 20-25.

General morphology:
Antennae longer than half of length of forewing, apiculus obtuse or hooked, nudum 14-17 segments. Forewing broad-triangular, costa and termen almost straight, hind margin as long as termen. Hindwing termen rounded in apical half, but hardly produced at tornus, inner margin as long as costa.

Wing coloration:

Upper side: Upper side forewing dark brown usually with blue or green super-scaling, no spots. Upper side hindwing as forewing, but with smaller or larger yellow area at tornus. 

Underside: Underside forewing as upper side, but apical half or more may be overlaid by bluish scales, with crossing veins sometimes outlined pale-greenish. Underside hindwing as upper side, but in one species greenish of=r bluish, crossed by veins that are conspicuously paler outlined.

Secondary sexual characters:

 
Male without secondary sexual characters.  

Species

 
Three species, extending from NE. India to the Philippines, Sulawesi and Java to Sulawesi.
