External characteristics
Forewing length (mm): 14-17.
General morphology:
Antennae short, shorter than half of length of forewing, apiculus short, right-angled, sharply pointed tip upturned, nudum 13 segments, of which most on the club. Forewing triangular, costa almost straight, termen slightly curved, hind margin a bit longer than termen. Hindwing termen evenly curved, tornus slightly produced, inner margin as long as costa.
Wing coloration:
Upper side: Upper side forewing dark brown with varying number of small white hyaline discal spots, never a complete series, no spots in cell. Upper side hindwing dark without spots or with a few small whitish hyaline discal spots.
Underside: Underside as upper side, may be a bit paler.
Secondary sexual characters:
No secondary sexual characters.
