MORPHOLOGY

External characteristics
Forewing length (mm): 10-14.
General morphology:
Antennae about as long as half of length of forewing, club slender, apiculus obtuse, finely pointed, 11 to 14 segments. Forewing elongate, hind margin longer than termen, termen evenly curved. Hindwing rounded, termen nicely curved, inner margin not longer than costa.
Wing coloration:
Upper side: Upper side forewing brown, unmarked in the male, but female usually bears a few small semi-hyaline dots. Upper side hindwing brown, unmarked.
Underside: Underside forewing brown with orange super-scaling along hind margin and in upper half, with a few indistinct tiny, dark-edged white dots underside hindwing with orange super-scaling over entire wing, small, dark-edged, white discal dots.
Secondary sexual characters:
Male on upper side forewing an obscure brand in the cell along the cubitus.
Species
Two species, extending from Sri Lanka and India through continental SE. Asia to Borneo and Java. Both species in the area covered here.
