External characteristics


Male 
Forewing length (mm): 23 (Yata and Morishita, 1979).
Forewings: The sex brand is thin and distinct. The forewing underside has cell spots that usually becomes extinct (Yata and Morishita, 1979). Hindwings There is a submarginal series of spots on the hindwing underside (Yata and Morishita, 1979).

Subspecies and variation

 
No subspecies. There is some variation in the development of the cell spots on the forewing underside and of the submarginal series of spots on the hindwing underside (Yata and Morishita, 1979).

Similar species

This species is similar to Eurema lombokiana, but is smaller in size and has a rounder wingshape (Yata and Morishita, 1979).
