MORPHOLOGY

External characteristics
Forewing length (mm): 20-24.
General morphology:
Antennae with long club and long recurved acute apex. Forewing rounded to triangular. Hindwing tornus slightly extended into a (very) small tail, termen may be slightly indented above tornus.
Wing coloration:
Upper side: Upper side forewing unmarked brown or grey-brown, except for a conspicuous black brand in male of one of the species and pale discal spots in spaces cua1 and cua2, and cell in female of one of the species. Underside forewing as upper side but with large whitish, not sharply outlined area from inner margin extending to into space m3. Upper side hindwing as forewing.
Underside: Underside hindwing plain or with a conspicuous white central band.
Secondary sexual characters:
One species has a conspicuous black brand on the upper side of the forewing.
Species
Three species, together extending from Sri Lanka and S. India north to as far as Japan and the Amur Region in E. Siberia.
