MORPHOLOGY

External characteristics

Forewing length (mm): 18-20.

General morphology:
Antennae longer than half of length of forewing, apiculus short, obtuse, nudum 16 segments. Forewing triangular, costa and termen almost straight, hind margin longer than termen. Hindwing termen rounded, inner margin as long as costa.

Wing coloration:

Upper side: Upper side forewing dark brown with indistinct yellowish spots over the middle of the hind margin. Upper side hindwing plain dark. 

Underside: Underside forewing dark brown with some pale yellowish indistinct spots at apex and white area along hand margin. Underside hindwing dark brown in outer two-fifth, whitish in rest of wing, but with a brown streak in it.

Secondary sexual characters:

 
In two species the male has a dark inconspicuous discal stigma on the upper side of the forewing.
