External characteristics
Forewing length (mm): 25-30.
General morphology:
Antennae with long apiculus with 20 segments. Palpi yellow below. Forewing relatively narrow, hind margin slightly longer than termen. Hindwing rounded, may be slightly crenulate, inner margin longer than costa.
Wing coloration:
Upper side: Upper side forewing dark brown with complete series of white hyaline spots and cell spot. Upper side hindwing centrally white, basally and along termen sark brown with series of black dots between the central white area and the dark terminal area.
Underside: Underside forewing and hindwing as upper side.
Secondary sexual characters:
Male with recumbent hair pencil on hind.
Species
Seven species, extending from northeastern India to China and Sumatra. Only a single species in the area covered here.
