MORPHOLOGY

External characteristics

Forewing length (mm): 22.

General morphology:
Antennae about half of length of forewing, club angled or hooked to long apiculus beyond thickest part of club. Forewing produced, truncate at apex. Hindwing quadrate, produced at end of vein M3.

Wing coloration:

Upper side: Upper side forewing brown with white hyaline spots in space cua1 and cell, and tiny spots at apex. Upper side hindwing plain brown (with cell spot in Australian species). 

Underside: Underside forewing as upper side. Underside hindwing dark brown with large white central area.

Secondary sexual characters:

 
Male with costal fold; male hind tibiae with recumbent hair pencil.  

Species

 
Two species, one in N. Moluccas, Aru and New Guinea, the other one confined to Australia.
