The hindwing upper side has a broad black marginal area. The forewing underside has an orange proximal area, a white inner margin and orange subapical spots. The hindwing is similar to that of the male, but the white band is abbreviated and broader, the band is marked by a yellow bar in each cellule (Pequin, 2021).

Subspecies and variation

No subspecies (Pequin, 2021).

Similar species

This species is similar to Delias jordani, but the male of this species has a narrower white band on the hindwing and the subcostal yellow spot is free. Besides, this species resembles Delias fascelis, but the latter one has a nearly straight band on its hindwing and is more heavily marked in yellow. Further, this species is similar to Delias konokono, but the latter one lacks the white basal markings on the forewing upper side (Pequin, 2021).
