External characteristics
Male
Forewings: The forewing upper side has a white spot on the black margin (Yata and Morishita, 1979).
Female
The female upper side wing surface is white or pale-yellow coloured and the forewing has usually a discocellular dash (Yata and Morishita, 1979).
Subspecies and variation
No subspecies (Yata and Morishita, 1979).
