External characteristics
Male
Forewings: There is a black coloured submarginal band and the marginal row of white coloured spots is conspicuously defined (Yata and Morishita, 1979). Hindwings The hindwing upper side has a wide black marginal border. The hindwing underside is white coloured with an obscure submarginal black band (Yata and Morishita, 1979).
