MORPHOLOGY

External characteristics

Forewing length (mm): 25.

General morphology:
Antennae with long apiculus, nudum 20 segments. Forewing hind margin considerably longer than termen which is weakly curved and may be slightly crenulate. Hindwing rounded and slightly crenulate.

Wing coloration:

Upper side: Upper side forewing dark brown with large whitish hyaline spots. Upper side hindwing largely orange, dark brown in basal area and along termen and with a few dark dots in the orange. 

Underside: Underside forewing and underside about as upper side.

Secondary sexual characters:

 
Male hind tibiae furnished with hair pencil, female with anal tuft.  

Species

 
Two species, SE China (including Hainan) to Myanmar and Borneo. Only one species in the area covered here.
