External characteristics


Male 
Forewing length (mm): 28 (Joicey and Talbot, 1922).
Forewings: The forewing upper side has a white coloured proximal half. The forewing underside has a white coloured proximal half, a cadmium-yellow coloured basal costal streak. Further, there are seven submarginal dots, the anterior and subapical four yellow, the other ones white coloured (Pequin, 2021). Hindwings The hindwing upper side has a narrow black margin. The hindwing underside is with a brown colouration and marked with a cadmium-yellow colour. The costal has a white colour and yellow at the extreme base. Further, there are three yellow, slightly white, spots near or on its distal edge, and six submarginal yellow spots (Pequin, 2021).
