External characteristics


Male 
Wingspan (mm): 74 (Wallace, 1867).
Forewings: The upper side wing surface is white coloured, with the base and the costa grey coloured. There is a black coloured border near the outer angle, which is broader at the apex. The forewing underside is white coloured. The costa, the apex and the transverse line are faintly dusky. There is a sublunate spot (Wallace, 1867). Hindwings The hindwings upper side are entirely white coloured. The hindwing underside is pale lemon-yellow coloured (Wallace, 1867).

Similar species

The hindwing of this species is similar to Tachyris paulina (Wallace, 1867).
