MORPHOLOGY

External characteristics

Forewing length (mm): 26-33.

General morphology:
Antennae shorter than half costa, with slender club and long finely pointed apex. Rather broad-winged. Hindwing with rounded termen.

Wing coloration:

Upper side: Upper side forewing rufous to dark brown, usually with a white band or spots, in some species male is striped, in one species male mostly white with black spots on the hindwing. 

Underside: Underside forewing and hindwing as upper side.

Secondary sexual characters:

 
Male may have a costal fold, but not in the species occurring in the present area; male hind tibiae more or less swollen and a dense penmcil at the back of the tibiae.  

Species

 
Nine species, extending from India to southern China, Hainan and Borneo, but only two species in the area covered here, and only in the Malaysia-Sumatra-Borneo area.
