External characteristics
Male
Forewing length (mm): 50 - 58 (Jonko, 2021). Wingspan (mm): 59 (Braby, 2004).
Forewings: The forewing apex is pointed (Braby, 2004). The forewing underside wing surface is white coloured (Jonko, 2021). Hindwings The hindwing underside lacks the orange subterminal spots on the broad brown coloured terminal band (Braby, 2004). The hindwing underside is pale yellow coloured (Jonko, 2021).
Female Wingspan (mm):54 (Braby, 2004).
The female has a more rounded apex of the forewing and the black sections on the forewing underside are larger (Jonko, 2021).
