MORPHOLOGY

External characteristics

Forewing length (mm): 12-23.

General morphology:
Antennae longer than half of length of forewing, apiculus pointed, obtuse to moderately hooked, nudum 13-15 segments. Forewing triangular, termen weakly curved, hind margin about as long as termen. Hindwing termen nicely rounded, inner margin about as long costa.

Wing coloration:

Upper side: Upper side forewing brown to dark brown white hyaline spots including in cell. Upper side hindwing brown or dark brown with or without a central hyaline spot. 

Underside: Underside forewing as upperside, but pale below the white hyaline spots. Underside hindwing as upperside or more variegatedand with small wgite, dark-ringed spots.

Species

 
Seven species, extending from India to S. China, Taiwan, and through continental SE. Asia eastward to Borneo and Java. Three species in the area covered here.
