External characteristics
Male
Forewings: The forewing upper side has a conspicuous submarginal row of spots. The plume scales are long and have large discs (Yata and Morishita, 1979). Hindwings Both sexes lack on the hindwing upper side the marginal border (Yata and Morishita, 1979).
Female
The female has a pair of black streaks in the cell (Yata and Morishita, 1979).
