External characteristics
Forewing length (mm): 14-17.
General morphology:
Antennae definitely longer than half of length of forewing, apiculus obtuse to moderately hooked, nudum 13-15 segments. Forewing triangular, termen almost straight in male, weakly curved in female, hind margin slightly longer than termen. Hindwing termen well-rounded, inner margin about as long as costa.
Wing coloration:
Upper side: Upper side forewing dark brown to black, two or three white or yellowish hyaline discal spots as well as two separate cell spots lying above each other. Upper side hindwing unmarked dark brown to black.
Underside: Underside of all wings as upper side, but with orange dash over middle of vein 1A+2A.
Secondary sexual characters:
No secondary sexual characters.
Species
