MORPHOLOGY

External characteristics

Forewing length (mm): 17.

General morphology:
Antennae, nudum with five segments on the club and eight to eleven on the apiculus. Forewing triangular with termen nearly straight from tornus to just below apex. Hindwing with inner margin longer that costa.

Wing coloration:

Upper side: Upper side forewing brightly colored, dark brown with large yellow spots or yellow with black spots. Upper side hindwing similar. 

Underside: Underside forewing and hindwing as upper side.

Secondary sexual characters:

 
Male without secondary sexual characters, female with anal tuft.  

Species

 
Two species, together extending from eastern India to Vietnam, the Philippines and Sulawesi. Only one species in area covered here.
