External characteristics
Male
Forewing length (mm): 19 - 23 (Otsuka, Kazuhisa, 2001), 24 (Kirton, 2018).
Forewings: The forewing upper side has a black coloured border, which forms a obtuse angle and is less deeply excavated. The forewing upper side has a black coloured border along the hind margin inwardly uniform, without a step near the tornus (Yata and Morishita, 1979). Hindwings The hindwing upper side has a subbasal series of dot-like spots, which obsolete the cell (Yata and Morishita, 1979).
