External characteristics
Male
Wingspan (mm): 50 (DBpedia, n.d.) .
Forewings: The forewing upper side has a black colour and the inner margin is white, except near the tornus. There is a subapical band of four or five yellow spots, a thin antemarginal line runs from the lower spot to the tornus (Pequin, 2021). Hindwings The hindwing has a black ground-colour and the distal two-third is vandyke-brown coloured, with a rich purple tinge. The proximal half of the costa is white. There is a chrome-yellow basal patch and a black distal patch (Pequin, 2021).
Female
Female is similar to the male (Pequin, 2021).
