Subspecies and variation

Six subspecies are described, of which three subspecies are found in Papua. There are a couple of variations in between the subspecies: the amount of black apical markings varies, the size of the small yellow subapical spot on the underside of the forewing, and the size of the small submarginal yellow spot on the hindwing underside (Pequin, 2021).
